WEEK THREE - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. We're right back at it, huh?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Malibu Sunset and Rosé. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

the glass was on top of him! by clearing it up, he'll notice that alongside the glass shards there are bits of metal and plastic on top of him. his clothes aren't torn from whatever debris this is, but when chandra removes his top, he'll notice that there are a few light scratches on his exposed skin. there are bruises over his torso and arms, both exposed and not, but they seem a little random and aren't that big.

he does have pockets! chandra will find:

- a phone
- half of a scroll
- a pen

that's it! ]

puts zagreus's items away with the glass for evidence check. thank god there's no notebook to make me spiral this time "scroll?" NO NOTEBOOK. also puts the bits of metal and plastic away too.

are the glass + metal + plastic just on his chest area, or if chandra glances down, is there glass on his legs too?

also, nothing funky about the clothes that chandra removed? any burned parts or blood, inside or out?

if chandra uses his own hand for comparison, do they seem about the right size for the scratches? this isn't a hand size check unless you're feeling generous but are the scratches like, humanoid-sized.

where are the scratches located, specifically? on his chest? or his arms?]

[ there's a few pieces of glass/metal/plastic on his legs too, but most of it is just kind of haphazardly over him or naturally ended up in the fold of his clothes. nothing seems to have slipped in or anything.

when looking at the removed top, chandra will find that the singular shoulder has a damp spot on it.

the scratches do not seem to match a human hand. they could also be described as small cuts, and they're mostly on his exposed chest and arm. ]

anyway they are sizing up his appearance and very obviously judging a little before turning to actually make this drink. ]

Why do I get the feeling you need a large one this morning?

[ lu bixing checks out the disturbed sand and finds that it looks like foot prints? vaguely? but it's sand so they are indistinct. however he can definitely tell that Someone Has Been Here... but maybe that was obvious anyway because the thing he finds is a black cloak.

also the sand is dry!

gideon looks around for a way out onto the horizon, but doesn't see many options besides like... the ferry they came in on. and rosé does not look receptive. however the fog is kind of coming and going, and as she stares she begins to make out that the thing on the horizon out there is a boat. and there is... someone on the boat.

the disturbance in the sand that itto is looking at does look a little more uniform than the one lu bixing looked at. it is also footprints, but these ones are at least pretty clearly headed somewhere - away from the beach, out towards a scattering of the Animal Crossing houses.

which, when he looks that way, he will also see some animals in the distance, watching them all. ]
