WEEK THREE - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. We're right back at it, huh?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Malibu Sunset and Rosé. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

All right, well. I'm gonna grab one of these beers, seeing as one was definitely missing. I've only been drinking the beer this week-- but did any of the other drinks smell like dirt?

[is any of the light bruising fresher? also, while he's here he's doing a check-over to like. check his scalp for any tenderness/injury & look at his hands if he's fine with that.]

[ like the first few weeks, she won't undress just for anyone. only for some cr. she is dressed in her formal elegant uniform (right) clothes with white combat boots.

with acceptable cr, what they'll find at a glance are some extremely old scars here and there (dated YEARS+ old) but otherwise, she seems to be free of anything new. just some faint bruises. ]

Itto does have recent bruises, but a plausible explanation for them, at least. His cast is also banged up, since he's... apparently been testing how much it can endure. I didn't request for him to take it off.

Other than that and the burns he seemed to have received today, everything else looks old.

[ he won't be the one to check ljh bc that does not seem very fair and he might drive by and wolf whistle but he got in trouble earlier so instead he just comes by and gives him a peck on the cheek and a squeeze on the shoulder and leaves someone else to it. ]

He is also rather taller than would be plausible for wearing the cloak, and I believe that Itto is likely too stupid to have plotted to frame someone smaller.

[ mostly okay! he was scuffed up and dirty when they came back, but it looks like he's been cleaned up. the scuffs can't really be buffed out that well without the tools for it, but an attempt has been made to fix the baby. ]

he looks at the pants. looks like he's considering something. probably considering how much he wants to deal with this, before he sighs.]

...that's a good half of your body covered, you know I at least need to ask you for a little more. Consider it fair trade for before?

[ sssort of? rynlan might find that its consistent with getting dropped into holes so its mostly like. on his knees or lower back.

and he may do that! there's no tenderness or injury. his hair smells good. and his hands are clean! a little calloused, but his nails are well taken care of and trimmed and he's got no weird injuries or marks. he is wearing his watch and a friendship bracelet but he'll take those off too. ]

There were a lot of tarantulas and scorpions.

[ thanks pal. he doesn't seem to have hung onto it, that's just how he rolls and he will just gently bonk his head into lbx's before nudging him off. ]

[ clearly not enthused with this, today, but he will allow ljh to check him up close (and if anyone wants to peek over they're allowed to). he's got his haori on again over his shoulders, but underneath is a sleeveless shirt that's almost a crop top on him and some capri looking pants. same sneakers as he's worn since getting them back.

underneath, after getting some help:

- his entire right shoulder and some of his torso, to keep it secure, is bandaged
- sticking out of the bandages, from his shoulder socket, is his bone arm. yeah that's still there
- acid burn splatter on the left - his face, neck, and remaining arm
- fire burns here and there, though not many (torso and hand)
- cuts and scrapes scattered everywhere (face, torso, arm, legs)
- bruised to hell and back, varying in age, mostly his back but scattered
- a cut on his left leg, mostly healed and over a week old

i think that's all of it. oh wait. anyone that gets close enough will be able to feel that he's extremely warm, essentially feverish. ]

[he shrugs, then takes off his pants and the wig! his real hair is pinned up to stay under the wig. his legs are in much the same condition as the rest of him - a smattering of bruises in varying degrees of freshness. there are also more of those double puncture wounds with swelling and discoloration.

the bruises are varying degrees of fresh - some of them seem a little less than a week old, others seem much fresher. the hand scrapes look like they're one or two days old. the puncture wounds are all healing over, but they likewise look like they're one or two days old.]
