WEEK THREE - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. We're right back at it, huh?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Malibu Sunset and Rosé. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your fourth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

if hunter is ok with it he's also going to check his head/scalp for tenderness and injury, inspect his hands, and (sighs) feet.]

like with patdown, persephone will only allow another girl to check her, but she shows no resistance from there. there are yellowish bruises on her shins and hands, and i guess she doesn't have the cut while check is taking place but that happened too so make of that what you will. ]

he does not say anything and just gives him a little bit of a playful look, but lets rynlan look. he has on trouser socks with the little trouser sock garters because, and i simply cannot say this enough, he is a nerd. but he will take those off and there are no weird injuries or snake bites! ]

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of the bruises are from falling into the weird TV things...? Some of 'em might've been from Thursday night too, though. I think that's where the stuff on my hands came from 'cause I don't remember them being like that before.

[he shrugs again. some of the bruises are smaller than the others, some are bigger - but not drastically so. the puncture wounds are generally the same size as each other. some are a bit smaller, some are a bit bigger, but the punctures in each set match each other, if that makes sense.]

Like I said earlier, I spent Thursday convinced I lived on that island, so by the time we all normally get locked in, I was out there looking for a house that doesn't exist. Tripped a few times and caught myself on like, trees or fences and stuff, that's probably what the scrapes are from. That's definitely where the bites are from. Damn snakes, biting me while I'm asleep... that's just cheating!

[ uhh he can remove them /thumbs up... feet are normal feet. they are just feet. i'm sorry teej you are our bravest soldier today.

he will also let him inspect his hands and hair without much of a fuss. his hair is nice and clean and very silky soft, no bumps or weird anything in or on his scalp, and his hands are callused, but otherwise just fine, if a little scuffed up with some old scars. ]

[AHHHH HER PEET!!!! He quickly takes off his shirt and offers it to her so she can. Wrap up her foot or something. He's panic. But also he kind of makes a barricade with the glass he picked off the footprints to shield them from the blood. Trust nothing.

Can he get a good measurement for both the footprints? He will compare against his feet and take down some notes so they can run a foot check later.]

Date, can you make sure there's nothing under the furniture either?

Ah, some are from the sparing... others are the sudden hole drops with the memories. I eventually started to cushion my falls after the first few times. [ her head tilts at the mention, glancing slightly to where they are folded against her back. ]

Sure... [ she seems confused. what are you looking for? ]

[well, he can see that across the back of chandra's neck (and, like, his back in general) are more burns like the ones on his face. his left hand looks normal except for maybe a cut and a bit of burns.

chandra stares at him for a few moments, before unraveling his arm bandages.]

This is going to be pointless.

[hope rynlan isn't squeamish, because it's about as one might expect if they saw harrow or kon's—there are parts across his hand and forearm where the skin peeled off, revealing bone and muscle. on top of that, it looks like some of the muscle underneath was torn, as though by nails or claws.

so, there's. technically a lot going on his hand here.

anyway i'll spare you there's nothing of note about his feet.]

[ you know what. she's going to take advantage of this. she pushes hunter's shirt away as she steps on some more glass, purposely this time. ]

Hunter, Date, get your cameras ready.

[ with that, she presses her now very bloody foot down next to the first set of prints, wincing as she puts pressure on it. she lifts it to leave an almost perfect impression of her foot for direct comparison, then does the same thing for the other set, blinking back tears as she does so. ]

I started to suspect there would be one everywhere I went.

[ when she takes hold of them, they feel extremely tense under her touch. one shuddering for a moment but starting to loosen as Gideon carefully stretches it out.

her wings are well groomed yes, or as much as one can. some areas aren't nearly as much and that might have to do with the fact she can't reach those spots if taken a moment to judge. nothing seems to be missing with just a look over, but the patch close to the middle of her open back definitely seems ruffled. ]
