right now he really wants to just throw in the towel here. this is absolute bullshit. he just squints at her and taps out a cigarette and uh... uh he leaves... that's. above his paygrade. he'll probably take a bit to sweep of the path he followed after the weird mourning bird person to see if there's anything distinct like torn cloth or anything glinting weirdly like broken glass on the ground at all.
