WEEK THREE: EXECUTION

Hello, deadlings.

Back at it again? Goodness. Yesterday must have been awful for some of you. Lucky you, the weekend "fun" isn't over just yet.

On Sunday morning, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. You won't be able to look at the one on the right now, the one you've come to know as the trial bar. Instead, your feet navigate you to the building on the left as the door creaks open. On your way in, you notice some posters hung beside the door, advertising today's event.

Inside is a bar. It's pretty swanky in comparison to the others you've seen, tables and chairs arranged comfortably for everyone to have a seat and spread out however they'd like. The bar is fully stocked with all kinds of alcohol along with an arrangement of bar food for anyone who's feeling a bit peckish. At the head of the room, there appears to be a stage washed in red lights with a wide area for performances.

At a table in the corner all six demons are gathered around.

-Bloody Mary and Midori are seated together, staring intensely at the stage.
-Blue Hawaiian and Malibu Sunset are draped over each other, phones in hand and slightly covered by Cosmopolitan.
-Rosé is seated nearby, looking impatient.

As you find your seats and get yourself something to drink, darkness begins to fill the bar and a banner unfurls over the stage.

No matter where you look, you will find that Uriel is not amongst you. But there isn't time to look further before the lights dim and the curtains draw.

[hellscapes]

[ as darkness settles around the room and the red lights glow brighter, two figures walk across the stage. the lights adjust, making it difficult to see who they are at first, but a soft shimmer appears around the area to create an impenetrable barrier.

whatever's about to happen...well, the audience may look, but they can't touch. ]

[ Your reactions go here. There's space to sit back and enjoy the performance, and while the doors are closed you really could leave if you absolutely wanted. But will you...? You can't leave to interfere with the stage or the ongoings that are occurring, but with a little push you can slip through the exit any time after it starts. ]

lu bixing's sitting at a table as usual, with his elbows perched on the table and his hands folded in front of his mouth, expression stony, tense as a taut bowstring. his phone's in front of him on the table, though the screen is currently dark.

whos it gonna be.......... ]

[ As the archangel makes her way onto the stage, she walks in a confident and steady stride. Her outfit is missing some of her more formal layers, but there is still a sense of nobility that flows from her body.

Her wings flare out, the glow of the halo over her head shining bright as her emerald gaze don't take any time to focus on the audience. She's been on that side plenty of times now, and even before that... but this time.

She meets the other figure's own gaze and offers a smile. ] I will not allow this to ruin me.

[ i'm working so will be sparse but kon is here, hood pulled up on the hoodie he's got on at the moment as he keeps his remaining arm around one leg. he's got his chin on his knee, heel on the seat, just. staring and waiting to see who's going out onto the stage with their resplendent uriel. ]

[ like always, ryo is here and on his phone. ]

[Oh, Miss Uriel...

Hunter is out here sitting on a table as usual, gently holding Flapjack in his hands while they both stare intently at the other end of the stage. Who's it gonna be...?]

[Childe is here... he's in his usual spot, leaning on a wall in the back with his hands in his pockets, watching the stage with a calm expression.]

[ sitting next to him because where else would he actually sit. lin is just pressed knee to knee with lu bixing and staring at the stage to see what kind of hateful thing is going to end up on stage this time.

[chandra strolls in, hands shoved into his pockets in the image of casualness. unlike beautiful gorgeous uriel who we love and adore, he still just looks like a teenage vampire. someone's apparently not keen on changing up their fashion sense, even for this event.

he stops a short distance away from uriel, posture shifting into something more battle-ready.]

Good. [his mouth twitches upwards into a faint smile back.] Looks like you got your wish, Uriel—you must be relieved to see me here.

[looks like he did, too.

his shadow already begins to distort, expanding further behind him. what its shape is meant to be, however, doesn't seem clear yet.]

So, let's make this a good fight.

[ ah. this is definitely a shame, but he'll appreciate the view while he can. ]

[ there's chandra. lu bixing exhales, as he steps into the light. ]

...It's cruel, but... [ "you must be relieved", he said. ] ...Maybe this will turn out to be the best choice.

[kuranosuke looks tense, but -

he breathes out a small sigh of relief when he sees chandra joining uriel onstage.]

[ date somehow looks infinitely more tired than yesterday. how is this even possible. he is drinking through his "yay" straw once again.

when chandra shows up he looks a mix of relieved and deeply unamused, but it doesn't last too long. when he says something it's very soft, and almost under his breath. ]

... Yeah, this is about what I expected. [ ... ] No, I think it's going to suck but who's counting.

[ ????? it's probably fine. ]

[tearduct]

[He is here, sitting near Ryo for once, expression pensive.]

[reignite]

[ with those words, her looks brightens, a flicker of relief in her eyes. ]

I did. [ her wish, huh. ] And I am.

[ only then does she briefly pass the barrier a glance, after all, she wouldn't have wished this on anyone else. her own shadow already starts to crackle in waves, like a growing fire. it's shape seeming to come together in shape of a person, wings extending from its humanoid form as well as two horns atop its head. ]

Don't disappoint me then.

[ the Flames of Retribution is no longer in sight, but that doesn't stop her from charging at him with no warning. why would she start warning him now? ]

[This is a shame and Tuuri wishes it could be different, but somehow she had suspected it would come to this. It seems like the worst choices always get picked for these executions.]

he glances at him for a second before looking back. ]

[Zelgadis will just sit nearby with his drink. He watches her for a few moments, then quietly watches the stage.]

[ anyways yeah ljh is here and he's unhappily watching with some whiskey in hand and his chin in his palm. his eyes stare at the stage as he chews a little on a plastic straw from the bar. ]
