WEEK FOUR: EXECUTION

Hello, deadlings.

Well. You caught one person. That's something, isn't it? Lucky you, the weekend "fun" isn't over just yet.

On Sunday morning, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. You won't be able to look at the one on the right now, the one you've come to know as the trial bar. Instead, your feet navigate you to the building on the left as the door creaks open. On your way in, you notice some posters hung beside the door, advertising today's event.

Inside is a bar. It's pretty swanky in comparison to the others you've seen, tables and chairs arranged comfortably for everyone to have a seat and spread out however they'd like. The bar is fully stocked with all kinds of alcohol along with an arrangement of bar food for anyone who's feeling a bit peckish. At the head of the room, there appears to be a stage washed in red lights with a wide area for performances.

At a table in the corner all six demons are gathered around.

-Bloody Mary and Midori are seated together, staring intensely at the stage.
-Blue Hawaiian and Malibu Sunset are draped over each other, phones in hand and slightly covered by Cosmopolitan.
-Rosé is seated nearby, looking impatient.

As you find your seats and get yourself something to drink, darkness begins to fill the bar and a banner unfurls over the stage.

[hellscapes]

[ as darkness settles around the room and the red lights glow brighter, two figures walk across the stage. the lights adjust, making it difficult to see who they are at first, but a soft shimmer appears around the area to create an impenetrable barrier.

whatever's about to happen...well, the audience may look, but they can't touch. ]

[ Your reactions go here. There's space to sit back and enjoy the performance, and while the doors are closed you really could leave if you absolutely wanted. But will you...? You can't leave to interfere with the stage or the ongoings that are occurring, but with a little push you can slip through the exit any time after it starts. ]

[Scaramouche takes his place on the stage with none of the ferality or frenzied, unspoken fury that he'd last been seen in public with. There's maybe a slight line of tension to the set of his shoulders, but he walks with a collected sort of calmness, focusing on the hollow sound that the wood of his sandals make against the stage's surface as he goes.

It's only once he's taken what he feels is his "proper" place that he stops moving. Shielding his eyes for a moment, he looks up toward the bright spotlights overhead, reminded of the sun at the peak days of Inazuman summer. His gaze drops back down, leveling across the stage next as he sizes up whoever they've decided to throw against him. Not that it matters.

He doesn't say anything, just yet. Doesn't spare a glance toward the audience. Just waits with a quiet impassivity as the shadow behind him ripples.]

anyway lbx is here at his usual table near the stage, a drink in front of him. maybe it's the bite one because i love zia and cola specifically, but it does look untouched. whos to say.

he's also got a medkit sitting on the table, and he's very quietly keeping his eye on the stage, fingers laced together in front of his mouth. here we fckin go... ]

[ He Is Here and just has a hand on lu bixing's knee but in the like. reassuring way, not the horny way? just going to try to give him some strength somehow because why. ]

when ryo walks onto the stage, he pauses for a moment as he takes in the sight. it's funny, how different it looks from up here versus at the audience. unlike scaramouche, ryo does actually look at the crowd, but it's more of a curious glance than anything.

it only lasts a second, and he walks further onto the stage, stopping a few feet away from scaramouche. he doesn't say anything, but gives him a nod in acknowledgment.

at his feet, his shadow moves, not quite forming anything yet, but... waiting. ]

[ OKAY WELL HE'S

IMMEDIATELY LOOKING FOR AKIRA IN THE AUDIENCE OH GOD ]

[Hunter is just going to glance at Scaramouche and Ryo as they walk onstage... and then get up from his table as soon as he's able to so he can vibe near the door, though he won't leave, looking at his phone. This is the closest thing you're gonna get, you vertically challenged binch.]

she's here! she is ALSO immediately looking for akira. what the fuck, this is stray bullets the execution.]

[ here as always sitting with dva! yoru is... actually on, this time, instead of being put into stasis like he normally is ever since the first execution. there's a frown on both of their faces, but. watching.

oh boy. glancing for wherever akira is in all of this. ]

He looks really fucking tired, but he's standing near the back, facing forward and unwilling to look around him. He doesn't seem surprised really by any of this.]

[ hi thancred. he gets a glance over from lu bixing's good side and a little nod in greeting.. he can come sit if he wants to, but if he also wants to just stand like an edgelord that's valid.

[i'm just kidding the curse has worn off and despite what all of y'all apparently believe she does not actually hate ryo. she is here having a drink, hands in her lap, serious but also being normal.]

[Truly and genuinely, the first thing he thinks is just thank every fucking cursedass god out there that this isn't someone who'd try to give me a hug while I'm dying. He can suffer through a lot of indignities but girl he's gotta draw the line...

So it's not inaccurate to say that the slope of tension at his shoulders decreases, and his head cants a little to the side. A nod of greeting in return; a smile, knowing.]

Fancy seeing you here. I wonder if it'll come in handy, though - your watching.

[Sometimes you're two people who peace out of and/or don't pay attention to execution THE MOST. But it's fine, it's fine. He holds his left hand out - the one that had been immobilized the day before. The shadow behind him stretches to his palm in turn, manifesting into a shortsword that he curls his fingers around familiarly. Still not making a move, just yet.]
