[she doesn't have to check very hard, at least. there's the hole in her chest, but that doesn't look fatal, just gross. it's like below her sternum and it looks suspiciously greatsword sized. there's a pretty sizeable hole in her gut that has a strip of fabric lamely pressed against it, and also, her pinky and ring finger on her left hand are gone.
oh, also she has long, sharp gashes across her face and chest. one long set of three! she seems to be having trouble opening her eye.
