I was stillborn, so I wasn't traditionally born at all. My brain activity was present for about a minute or so after my mother died, so my adopted father was able to rescue me from the corpse of my mother, transfer my consciousness to a set of nanomachines in a breeding tank, and it took approximately eight years for a body to be grown for me that I could pilot after that.
