WEEK ONE - MINGLE

Rise and shine, little deadlings. Hellions? Hm, well, no matter the name you're all in the same situation...and alive! Good for you! You're doing better than some of the others.
Aw, don't be mad...that's a compliment, isn't it? Satan's grace has shined upon you and you have more opportunities to show just why you deserve an invite to the house party.
For those of you who slept in the dorm last night, when you make your way downstairs to head off for the day you'll be greeted with a new message on the white board in the common room.
Just in case you needed the reminder.
But out the door you go for another fun-filled (?) week. At the dock, there's a ferry happily floating on the lava and waiting for you to climb aboard. While there are still several islands in your line of vision you can't quite see, it seems as though the ferry can now shuttle you between the college island and a new locations called Hallow's Hollow. Watch your step upon de-boarding! Wouldn't want you to slip and drown in the lava, now would we?
A new place might be a great opportunity to take your mind off of the events of last week. You're probably feeling a little angry, or sad, or frustrated. Maybe you're feeling annoyed or hopeless about the situation. But it's a little strange...even for those of you who are usually very good at keeping yourself in check, things feel a bit different now. Over the course of the week you will find yourself dealing with intense emotions, feelings that swarm over you and won't calm down until you're emotionally vulnerable with someone else. Yes, all right, some of you are already quite good at feeling your feelings, but for the rest of you? This may be something you just can't ignore no matter how hard you try.
It almost seems as though it's simply meant to be an annoyance.
And speaking of annoyances? Don't forget to check out what's new on Bicker. You can always contact each other via public Beeks or by sliding into their DMs.
Likewise, you'll find that your personal demons' accounts are live and active and despite what some of them may say, their DMs are also open.
Enjoy yourselves!
Good morning everybody, and welcome to your week one mingle! A few notes for clarity.
-This week's effect is emotional overload! Characters will experience intense emotions at unprompted times (rule of funny applies) and will not be able to calm down until they share these emotions/their feelings with another character. These emotions can be good or bad.
-Audiences for the personal demons are now open! Please submit all requests under the correct weekly header.
-Please submit all PC submissions under the correct weekly header.
-The Bicker poll is public! All replies will be public, and players may also post their own Beeks in their toplevels that will be considered public. You are free to reply directly to the appropriate toplevels, or you may create Beeks in your own toplevels with other prompts. Be free.

MINI-EVENT
And you know, like, you're totally free to blow them off. You don't have to go to the carnival and see what that's all about. But for those of you who are curious, when you wobble your way off of the extremely fast and dizzying ferry, you'll find that the largest tent on the island appears to be even more crowded than usual. Racks of colorful costumes flank the walls, along with an array of performing props such as batons, whips, swords, gasoline for firebreathing, hulahoops and more normal props like you'd find in a play.
On the walls are a variety of posters advertising for Satan's house party again. And around you, in the stands, are several shadow-y figures who seem to be watching your every move. They clap when you do something exciting and boo when you refuse to try, egging you on to perform to the best of your ability. In addition to the arenas, costumes and props, there's a table of drinks for those of you who need a little liquid courage. These are all drinks from the bar on this island, unfortunately. Finally, above it all hangs another banner:
Come on down and see the greatest show in Hell, starring our amateur performers! Don't mind the public embarrassment.
You have to know how to control yourself when you go against Satan, don't you? Work together (or not) and create a stage show to perform for the masses. And if you don't want to participate? You may want to dodge the costumed villains that are waiting in the wings, ready to attack. Become your own hero and save the day! ...yeah, good luck.

ANYWAY Tuuri will take the stage, and she looks a little nervous at being in front of such a large crowd. But eventually she will clear her throat and start speaking.]
What I have for all of you tonight is an Old World legend that has been passed down through my people. My mother told it to me, as her mother told her, back and back for many generations.
Long ago, there lived a young man who was the youngest member of his family. Growing up, everyone cared for him deeply and raised him with love and affection. He was never spoiled, but he always knew that his family would be there to take care of him when he needed them the most. And in turn, this young man wanted to be strong enough to take care of his family.
Unfortunately, that kind of strength does not come easily, and this world isn't kind enough to wait for its people to be ready before bringing calamity. One horrible night, an elderly relative was killed in a horrible accident, leaving behind a grieving widow and a hole in that young man's heart. No answers as to what had happened could be found, and the young man was left feeling frustrated.
Unfortunately, the strong feelings of this young man attracted the attention of the goddess Louhi, who visited him in a dream one night. I know you're not familiar with my gods, but trust me when I say she is not one to be trifled with! Power, fame, love, money, even her daughter's hand in marriage! Whatever a mortal heart may desire, she offers it up as a prize for completing a task. As tempting as it may be, it is unwise for anyone to take her offer. The tasks she sets are difficult for mortal men to complete, and many fall in to ruin just trying.
But the young man was determined to find the truth. So he took up Louhi's offer, saying that he would complete any task she set for him, if only she would tell him the truth of what happened to his relative. So Louhi summoned up one of her familiars, which used its fangs to latch on to the man's hand and absorb into his skin, leaving its mark on his chest. "There are twelve mortals who have taken up my tasks, and yet they have delayed in finishing them time and time again," Louhi said, "I cannot allow anyone to keep my power if they won't finish my tasks. Fight them, and send them to Tuonela for me. Do this for me, and you may keep your powers, and I will tell you that which you wish to know."
The young man woke from his slumber, thinking the conversation was nothing more than a dream. But as he prepared for the day, he found many strange changes. He was much stronger and more agile than he had been before, and he found it easy to cling to walls and other surfaces a normal mortal wouldn't be able to hold onto. What's more, his memory became picturesque, and he found that he could perfectly recreate anything he had seen- even if just for a moment- with a paper and pencil. Immediately he used his newfound skills to get a job with a local news agency, providing artwork for whatever story they needed to write. He was such a talented artist that he quickly rose in prominence, and soon he was being sent out to more serious stories along with reporters to draw the art needed for the top stories. This was how he tracked down the first of the twelve mortals he had been tasked to fight, and he had a special 'sense' that let him know when he was close to the danger that those twelve brought.
He couldn't let the twelve know of his true identity, though. It would put the rest of his family at risk. So he donned a new outfit at night, one that hid who he was. With his identity hidden behind a moniker- one chosen based on the familiar that had bitten him in a dream, whose abilities he had inherited- he was able to take the information he learned working with reporters and chase down the twelve mortals he needed to fight.
And that man was known as... Bat-Man.

he's got a top hat that he's attempting to figure out how to pull a rabbit out of, along with some other magic trick staples, though he seems to be getting progressively more annoyed with it as he goes.
he taps a wand against the brim of the hat twice, but then the stuffed rabbit just gets stuck in his sleeve when he tries to draw it out on three. ]
