WEEK TWO - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. Wow. Just...wow.

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Midori.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

[Childe is less grumbly today because it's Lin and because he's on the suspect list, so it makes sense for him to be checked for like. Octopus injuries or w/e we're looking for idk.

Anyway, as usual, he's got bruises of varying levels of healing, lots of old scars and his Deda scars; mostly the same as last week, with a few new additions to the bruises. Maybe a cut or two sure why not. The newest ones look at least a few days old. What kind of injuries do you get from fighting and getting shot at with ship cannons over a lava river? Whatever they'd be he has those too.

Wet ones, yes, so I don't guess it's surprising we didn't see any-- didn't they also mention blood? But that trail could have dried up as well.

[ he's fine stripping to the side so he's not dead center of the strip check but not behind guy fieri. anyone can check him! his getup this week is this, which he wore on tuesday. he'll let people rifle through it if they want.

despite the ootd ref he still looks like this, and the most notable thing on him is still the scar on the inside of this right elbow. he does have a cut on his left leg this week, though it looks a week old. ]

[ lu bixing will willingly strip down to his undies! he'll also remove his bandages and his new eyepatch for anyone who will be doing the checking.

the sword cut that dug into his shoulder is consistent with a week of healing, and so is his eye injury, which has been cleaned and taken care of, as well as some smaller cuts near his ankles that are consistent with a week or so of healing. the burn on his right arm has mostly healed over completely, and the last of his track marks have faded over into scars. he has some faded scratch marks on his back as well but they're older too.

Mm. The profiles are unlikely to be of much help, given how many of us have received personal items, but I do think it is possible.

but he will elect to avoid uriel's wrath today. this is the only reason ftr.

he's wearing his normal clothes + cloak that he usually wears, which he removes. there are a few puncture wounds/cuts on his hands and forearms, and some bruises on his legs and arms.

he doesn't care who checks him but as usual if you look like you're about to touch him without consent he'll kill you]

[ hi buddy. he will take him behind the guy fieri to perform a careful check of everything.

what did lavi do last week he's looking. and he is also focusing his look around palms, hands, nails, cuticles, etc for now as he works. he'll check for any cuts that are cleaned and bandaged, any chipped nails or signs of irritation along the knuckles first. ]

His entire body is covered here and there in fading bruises; his chest sports a bigger one right over the sternum. There are tiny pock marks of scabbed-over skin on his shoulders and back. Just above the hemline of his underwear is a scar circling all the way around his body.]

Still, he groans between his teeth and extendshis paws because, yeah, in his current state, his own self is his priority, and he knows that if he resists too much he's going to get attention and risk his own life.

she's essentially wearing this but without the cape today. she doesn't have the bracer either. she's got a lot of bruises (a couple big ones on her back and near her tailbone) and a couple of shiny, healing burns, just littered all over. she's otherwise unharmed, wildly enough. her hands are calloused, with one hand a little more rough than the other. her feet are fine.]

[ rynlan just saw this last night, so he notices that some of the decorative plants and rocks are askew.

lavi checks one of the puddles. it's mostly water, but it is a little pink. ]

[at a closer examination - it's hard to tell conclusively about the age of the bruise around his waist/chest, honestly! the edges seem to be a bit fainter, perhaps from earlier in the week, but there's more recent looking bruising layered over it. same size and shape, just slightly different placements. it looks solid all the way around.

bruise on the ankle is indeed in the same place!

there is nothing in the nailbed, under the nail itself, or around the cuticle! kuranosuke practices good nail hygiene. close examination makes it fairly clear these are fake nails, though. no cuts, chips, or quickly redone polish here.]

[ nothing else stands out! idk if i said the blood drops also go inside the bar but there's no specific area for them to end at, there's just one near the entrance/exit.

[Thancred's spent like half this week shirtless between swimming and whatnot so yeah, he'll comply, why not. When he takes off his coat and shirt, there are a few marks along with his usual gunbreaker physique — most notable of which being the very recent bruise blossoming pretty much dead center on his chest, fairly roundish in shape.

There are also some more recent scratches on his shoulders that did not break skin, a few reddish half-circle marks, and at least one hickey on his neck, below his tattoos and the band of his slut collar.]

[lavi got the wholeass state of the ryn last time so i won't drop it on you in specific again, but he in particular can tell there are a couple differences from last week. the marks he had before are healed or at least faded enough to have been healing the appropriate amount of time, and he has a few new marks on him- a couple different bites, some scratches on his back. a couple small bruises on his neck.]
