WEEK TWO - TRIAL
Hello, deadlings. Wow. Just...wow.
You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.
Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.
At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Midori.
Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

as mephisto looks at the smaller objects, he'll see even more glass. and amongst the glass there's water...and some blood? splatters of blood spread throughout the ground around the tank. he also finds what appears to be a room key? and a small notebook is found not too far from that, bringing him closer to where harrow is.
because when harrow looks at the larger object, she finds..........

Hmm, interesting - there's a body here.
[just matter of factly. she'll try to turn it over or get a better look at it? is it a person? a mannequin? the stupid octopus? nameless chunks? any details she can make out?]

ryo takes a picture of it, and then goes to look closer at the hole. is it like, smaller or larger than his body? size of his head? torso? what's a good idea of it

the hole in the tank is a little larger than ryo, enough that he could slip in there if he wanted. water continues to drip, and as he looks at the glass he'll notice a large smudge of blood in a vague shape. sort of round, with four or five oblong streaks.
anyway while those two are doing that, harrow turns over the body and she gets a good look at who it is. it very much looks like a person, hair matted with blood at the top where the head is bashed in. the body is wet to the touch, but any further details may need to be examined in a different body investigation.
however, she and the other two will immediately recognize this person as Nameless. ]

[saves it for body investigation, but she will take some pictures of how the body is laid out. can i get some more detail on how it's laid out? was it bundled up in something? is there anything beneath it, like glass or anything?]

[ he'll carry it back if he has to, but he's not volunteering now, so he'll wander back off to look at some other stuff nearby...
like... the dead fish, he guesses. holding his nose and looking at these sad fucks. are these from any particularly memorable display or just random fish? ]

ryo will take another picture, this one of the smudged shape so the others can see it. is there anything that stands out at the floor next to the tank? or is it just water and glass
actually speaking of water as he turns to examine it more he trips over the water again and just falls right into the tank ]

the fish on the ground are pretty random and also pretty dead and stinky. gross.
the water and glass appears to be all there is on the ground near the tank (and blood! can't forget the blood), though there appears to be a trail of something or other heading off in another direction.
ryo falls in the tank. goodbye ryo. enjoy your swim among the water and possibly broken glass inside the tank itself. water is displaced. things move around. plants and other objects try to wrap around him just by nature of being pushed around. ]

cool, so anything else in here if he looks around the rest of the room outside of the tanks while harrow looks in them for the octopus? is all the mess confined to a space around this one tank? ]

anyway he is just going to try to shove everything around him as he tries to get out of the fish tank. get off.
when he does manage to get out, wet and probably with cuts I guess GLASS he will. look back at the trail he saw before he fell in and. look at the others. then leaves to follow it without speaking to either of them ]

as mephisto looks around, he'll notice that most of the mess is confined to a space around this one tank. however, now that he's looking a little closer, he will notice there's a trail of bloody droplets leading back from the direction they came, toward the outer hub of the pleasure district.
as for ryo, he gets to feel slimy, wet things under his hands as he struggles and gets himself out of the tank. there he goes. anyway, he looks at the trail and begins to follow. as he goes, he will notice that the trail appears to be wet footprints and bigger droplets of blood intermingling with the water. they are leading in the direction of the onsen. ]

harrow will snap a few pics on her phone of the room. and then she will peer into the tank with the hole in it to see if anything seem amiss in there. by the way, is this the tank that usually the octopus lives in?]

wouldn't it be funny if i said that ryo's phone doesn't work. no, it's fine, it can work since he wasn't in there for long. he can take pictures. comparing his foot size...he will notice there's actually two sets of prints. doing a comparison, he will see that one set of prints is reasonably larger than his, and the other is very obviously smaller. he cannot go to the onsen, that is a separate invest team.
but you guys can at least see where the blood trail actually leads toward if you want. you can't invest that area, but you can get a general sense if that's a thing you want.

as for the blood. does it just look like droplets? it was described like there's more so would it look like if someone is bleeding more and more heavily as they walk or at least something similar? and is it near any specific set of prints, like the larger or smaller ones? ]

the blood trail mephisto is following seems to lead out toward the bar, but he cannot go venture over that way. that's for someone else.
meanwhile, ryo's blood droplets are a lot more in comparison to what mephisto is following. it's blood and water dripped everywhere amongst the footprints. it looks like yeah, someone was bleeding more as they left. it's not really near any specific set of prints since the prints are both heading the same direction, so the blood is spread amongst both as it heads out. ]
