WEEK TWO - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. Wow. Just...wow.
You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.
Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.
At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Midori.
Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.
12pm - 9pm
Vote or suffer eternal damnation
You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).
Good luck, and have fun!

aquarium investigation report
Well, I think you already know what one of our findings was, but I shall summarize!
The tank where the octopus normally resides was broken — there was a large hole in the glass where it appeared that something had smashed into it, one large enough for Mr. Asuka to unceremoniously fall into! There was also a somewhat oddly shaped bloody smudge on the glass, round with some streaks.
The second body of our unnamed friend was found on the floor in that same room, along with shattered glass and blood splatters, and a room key and notebook which have been brought back for your perusal.
While the fish from the tank were all dead on the floor (and extremely pungent!), the octopus itself was nowhere to be found, so...
[ shrugs, WE'RE ALL THINKING THE SAME THING ]
There was a small trail of blood droplets leading back from the room in what appeared to be the direction of the bar, and two sets of wet footprints and blood leading in the direction of the onsen, so I think we at least have a fairly good idea of what our next investigation areas should be.
—Ah, I will also state for the record that Miss Nonagesimus's robe was in fine condition before she generously offered it up for the purpose of transporting the body.
Open for questions! ☆

Is Ryo alright...? [ looking for him first?? this poor wet cat??? ] Could you all tell if the glass was smashed from the inside, or from the outside?
Thank you for your hard work, all of you. This is a start.

[hmm.]
So a fight started in there, but it didn't necessarily end in there. But I guess the question is who was doing the fighting in the other place.
[WAS IT NAMELESS AND THE KILLER OR NAMELESS DOING THE OCTOPUS?]

Exciting adventure?
So... onsen and the bar are the next places we should be checking then. To see if there's anything there to follow up on-- [ he waves a hand. ] All of that. [ wow. ]
I guess we need to check which body is the real one. Given we got tripped up by word puns in the first week and everything.

At least we have an idea of where to head off next, I guess. Was the bloody smudge hand-sized, despite its weird shape, or a different size?
[ gonna look at evidence here in a minute he guesses ]

Unlike with Eto, Micah's notebook didn't contain anything that was clearly relevant to his death, but he did keep a journal.
... It contains his thoughts on the people here, if you have any desire to read those.

It...almost feels like we shouldn't read these, if there's nothing that would help us today. Like we're invading his privacy...
