WEEK TWO - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. Wow. Just...wow.

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Midori.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

[ here is lin jingheng dressed in his military blues with his coat over his shoulder. he whistles (again) sharply. ]

No time for formalities, you all know how this goes. We have the... Guy Fieri if you want some privacy, but otherwise, please remove your clothing for a check. If you wish to be checked one-on-one, then let me know.

[kuranosuke's outfit this week - beret, wig, makeup, choker, top, shorts, boots! he will cooperate with the strip check and remove the top, a padded strapless bra, and his boots, figuring that the rest of what he's wearing doesn't cover much anyway. he does not bother going behind guy fieri and does not care who does the checking.

there's some bruising around his waist and chest - it's not super gross and painful looking, but it's not especially light, either. it's mostly one long, thick, big-looking bruise that looks like something wrapped around him and held tight. there's an extremely faint bruise on his ankle in the same place as the one from last week that looks like it's much further along in the healing process - you really have to squint to see it.

his nails are still intact, and there aren't any obvious cuts or bruises on his hands.]

[Well, Filbo had no intentions to cooperate much, but, uh, he also is this really big blue creature that doesn't have more clothes or accessories than a mayoral sash made of fabric that isn't even tightly held against his body, so even if he doesn't step forward, it's really easy to see he doesn't look like he has any injuries at all.

[Childe is less grumbly today because it's Lin and because he's on the suspect list, so it makes sense for him to be checked for like. Octopus injuries or w/e we're looking for idk.

Anyway, as usual, he's got bruises of varying levels of healing, lots of old scars and his Deda scars; mostly the same as last week, with a few new additions to the bruises. Maybe a cut or two sure why not. The newest ones look at least a few days old. What kind of injuries do you get from fighting and getting shot at with ship cannons over a lava river? Whatever they'd be he has those too.

[ he's fine stripping to the side so he's not dead center of the strip check but not behind guy fieri. anyone can check him! his getup this week is this, which he wore on tuesday. he'll let people rifle through it if they want.

despite the ootd ref he still looks like this, and the most notable thing on him is still the scar on the inside of this right elbow. he does have a cut on his left leg this week, though it looks a week old. ]

[ lu bixing will willingly strip down to his undies! he'll also remove his bandages and his new eyepatch for anyone who will be doing the checking.

the sword cut that dug into his shoulder is consistent with a week of healing, and so is his eye injury, which has been cleaned and taken care of, as well as some smaller cuts near his ankles that are consistent with a week or so of healing. the burn on his right arm has mostly healed over completely, and the last of his track marks have faded over into scars. he has some faded scratch marks on his back as well but they're older too.

[chandra looks at everyone else refusing and seriously considers not doing it because apparently that's deemed acceptable now

but he will elect to avoid uriel's wrath today. this is the only reason ftr.

he's wearing his normal clothes + cloak that he usually wears, which he removes. there are a few puncture wounds/cuts on his hands and forearms, and some bruises on his legs and arms.

he doesn't care who checks him but as usual if you look like you're about to touch him without consent he'll kill you]

[Like last time, he removes the black shirt and jeans.

His entire body is covered here and there in fading bruises; his chest sports a bigger one right over the sternum. There are tiny pock marks of scabbed-over skin on his shoulders and back. Just above the hemline of his underwear is a scar circling all the way around his body.]

she's essentially wearing this but without the cape today. she doesn't have the bracer either. she's got a lot of bruises (a couple big ones on her back and near her tailbone) and a couple of shiny, healing burns, just littered all over. she's otherwise unharmed, wildly enough. her hands are calloused, with one hand a little more rough than the other. her feet are fine.]

[Thancred's spent like half this week shirtless between swimming and whatnot so yeah, he'll comply, why not. When he takes off his coat and shirt, there are a few marks along with his usual gunbreaker physique — most notable of which being the very recent bruise blossoming pretty much dead center on his chest, fairly roundish in shape.

There are also some more recent scratches on his shoulders that did not break skin, a few reddish half-circle marks, and at least one hickey on his neck, below his tattoos and the band of his slut collar.]

upon stripping to his underwear, zagreus has some cuts here and there which have mostly become light scars, maybe a bruise or two smaller than the last week, but in the end it's just zagreus. ]

seeing as he's on the suspect list he'll do this without any real complaint.

there's no major injuries -- no big cuts or large bruises anywhere on his body or anything that looks especialyl violent. he was useless on wednesday. he does have a smattering of lighter bruises and some lighter looking scratch marks that i'm just gonna save time and say look a few days old at this point. a couple of the bruises look a little bit toothy. ]

[ dva is dressed casually, simple shorts, t-shirt, and her usual zip up, also the crocs, ofc. anyways. she doesn't really both with guy fieri, this is fine.

her hands are calloused and there's some old scars around, but nothing super crazy to note! the only fun thing is a cut on her left ankle, that looks about a week old. ]

[Lavi will ask whoever's looking at him for assistance taking his clothes on and off... He might be a little slow, but those clothes are coming off, baby.

There are bruises over his abdomen and chest, some old and some fresher. There's also a bruise on his chin, somewhat dark, and a few more on his neck. There's a bandage wrapped on his left side right above the hip, and more bandages wrapped around his right arm and right shoulder. There's also another bandage on his left shoulder.

For his legs, he's got a thin scar on his upper left thigh.]

[ Uriel is suffering the loss of impulse control so anyone can check, she doesn't give a f*ck. she will undress to whoever wants to check her. she is dressed in her formal elegant uniform (right) clothes with white combat boots.

at a glance, there are some extremely old scars here and there (dated YEARS old) but otherwise, she seems to be free of anything new. no bruises, no cuts, no strange writing on her skin that reads "TIS I, THE MURDERER." ]

[ as usual, persephone will only let herself be checked by another girl, but for the sake of time, here are the deets:

she's in a powder blue midi dress with half sleeves! her hair, as mentioned earlier, is messy like she didn't even bother brushing it before coming over here, but she has a cute little butterfly clip holding her bangs to the side.

closer inspection reveals some circular marks around her wrists and ankles, and some patches of discolored, yellowish skin around her knees and shins. her hands and feet are clean, the nails of all twenty digits painted the same gentle shade of blue. ]

The huge scar on her left shoulder is still there like last week, but in addition to that her right arm is bandaged all the way up to the shoulder, and her neck is bandaged too. She might also have a little bit of dried blood in her ear canals and up her nose, and her eyes still look bloodshot.

Also she is wearing this instead of the outfit she normally wears.]

[Again this week, he takes off his shirt and rolls up his pants to about mid-thigh. All of his old scars are still there, on his face, torso, both arms and left leg. The bruising on his face, knuckles and abdomen have mostly faded away, reduced to barely visible yellow-ish patches here and there. There's a mostly faded cut on his left cheek, below and to the side of his eye, that's basically a pale line at this point. Similarly, there are a couple of faded pale marks on his knuckles.

His right shoulder isn't bandaged anymore, so it's easier to see what appears to be a healing stab wound. It's completely sealed up by this point, and no longer red or irritated. On his left, however, there appears to be a set of somewhat healed puncture marks along his shoulder and side. These are scabbed over, and a little red around the edges. Irritated due to the fact there are no hospitals in hell. He didn't bother putting bandages on today because he'd have to take them off, anyway?

Additionally, there's a slightly messy, slightly lopsided scar right across his throat that looks like it might have been a deep cut once upon a time.]

[ does my own for thoroughness: lin jingheng just takes off his black leather gloves to begin. he removes just his shirt for strip because like his legs are normal without any injuries. he folds up his blue jacket as well as the white shirt he wears to let anyone examine him. in terms of injuries, he has:

- bruises on his torso just from being assaulted by build a bubs during the ship race on wednesday
- two old bullet wounds that are healing very well (one on his left shoulder, one on his side)
- a long, old scar across his chest and stretching up his throat

otherwise, he's just vibing, if looking a bit tired. ]

[ Junhyeong will only let himself be checked out by dudes and the most that he's taking off is his shirt.

Unfortunately he's pretty ripped but besides that he has light bruises around his torso area that seem a week old and that's about it. His right hand is also bandaged. I PUT THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE. ]
