WEEK FIVE - MINGLE

Rise and shine, little deadlings. Were you able to rest easy knowing you let one mystery go unsolved? Hmm...never fear. Satan's grace has shined upon you and you have more opportunities to show just why you deserve an invite to the house party.

But out the door you go for another busy week. At the dock, there's a ferry happily floating on the lava and waiting for you to climb aboard. While there are still several islands in your line of vision you can't quite see, it seems as though the ferry can now shuttle you between all of the previous islands and a new location called Animal Kingdom. A wild time awaits you. Though should you find yourselves returning to more familiar bars, you may find a new menu item awaits them!

With the new week comes new change, of course. You've probably grown accustom to this by now (or maybe you haven't even noticed the correlation of the weekly changes.) But at least you no longer have to struggle with your insecurities and flounder uselessly to prove you're #1. After all who cares, right? You obviously know you're #1. Nobody can argue with you on that one. Look at you. You're here! You're strong! You're powerful! Nothing can stand in your way this week, and you find yourself filled to the brim with all the confidence in the world. Some may even call it being over-assertive, seeing how you'll find yourself acting on inhibitions you may not before and being more assured in everything that you do. In the animal world? Some may even call you the alpha.

It almost seems as though it's simply meant to be an annoyance...to everyone else.

Good morning everybody, and welcome to your week five mingle! A few notes for clarity.

-This week's effect is heightened confidence, or what we lovingly call "alpha week." While it does not have to be a consistent thing, this week your character will swing back from all of their insecurities by being filled with overconfidence (and sometimes arrogance.) Now's the time to see how bold you can be and push the envelope a little. Your hubris doesn't matter here.

[ lu bixing loves big social events like this so he is in his element at this masquerade ball. he's also dressed to the nines, with a mask picked out by yoru and his hair slicked back, with a boutonniere of a lucida flower tucked against the pin on his chest.

[ or at some point you might find him making heart hands in the direction of... somewhere? like there's a camera, and flashing a little message outwards on his personal device to be read:

[ well, you know, most of the time he wouldn't believe that because most of the people that he knows would continue to terminator through pain (lin) but rynlan does seem like the kind of person who would actually complain if it was hurting.

so!! this decided, he will pull him onto the dance floor. it's a relaxed tune, something classical and designed for easy slow dancing. he's surprisingly good at it? it's not from doing a lot of dancing, probably, but that's fine.

and at the compliment, he ducks his head with a laugh, very charmingly modest. ] Aha - no, I don't think so. That's very sweet of you, though; is this where I should say you look like a princess?

[voidshift]

Do I? Suppose it is further on the dress side than robes.

[but he doesn't sound like he minds. he just steadies himself with bixing's support, humming to himself.]

Hmmmm....

[ he makes a thoughtful noise, as he takes to swaying gently with this injured princess. ]

Princess of the void? Alchemical princess? That one makes you sound like a warrior princess, which I'm told is a very high compliment.

[ bumping up against him when he sees him flashing his phone into the void, making heart fingers and blowing a winking kiss into the distance. pour one out for the deda. ]

[ ah! lu bixing immediately tilts his phone downwards so he can take a selfie of them both, switching to make finger hearts to match, too! it's very cute.

afterwards, he just grins, holding out his arms. ] It looks good, right? A little different than my usual! You cleaned up really well, too, Kon.

[refate]

[ big, beaming grin for the selfie. just a little moment of fun in this entire, messy shitshow. ]

You don't need me to fluff you up. [ snorting, but giving a turn that makes the shoulder cape fwoosh. ] Decided to go outside of my usual fare. Seems like it worked out.

It definitely did!

[ also yeah, no, he clearly is vibing. it is clearly alpha week. ] You look really handsome. Are you having fun, too? After you and Yoru worked so hard.

[ she sees him making hearts and wanders over, tapping him on the shoulder. ]
