WEEK FIVE - MINGLE

Rise and shine, little deadlings. Were you able to rest easy knowing you let one mystery go unsolved? Hmm...never fear. Satan's grace has shined upon you and you have more opportunities to show just why you deserve an invite to the house party.

For those of you who slept in the dorm last night, when you make your way downstairs to head off for the day you'll be greeted with a new message on the white board in the common room.

But out the door you go for another busy week. At the dock, there's a ferry happily floating on the lava and waiting for you to climb aboard. While there are still several islands in your line of vision you can't quite see, it seems as though the ferry can now shuttle you between all of the previous islands and a new location called Animal Kingdom. A wild time awaits you. Though should you find yourselves returning to more familiar bars, you may find a new menu item awaits them!

With the new week comes new change, of course. You've probably grown accustom to this by now (or maybe you haven't even noticed the correlation of the weekly changes.) But at least you no longer have to struggle with your insecurities and flounder uselessly to prove you're #1. After all who cares, right? You obviously know you're #1. Nobody can argue with you on that one. Look at you. You're here! You're strong! You're powerful! Nothing can stand in your way this week, and you find yourself filled to the brim with all the confidence in the world. Some may even call it being over-assertive, seeing how you'll find yourself acting on inhibitions you may not before and being more assured in everything that you do. In the animal world? Some may even call you the alpha.

It almost seems as though it's simply meant to be an annoyance...to everyone else.

Good morning everybody, and welcome to your week five mingle! A few notes for clarity.

-This week's effect is heightened confidence, or what we lovingly call "alpha week." While it does not have to be a consistent thing, this week your character will swing back from all of their insecurities by being filled with overconfidence (and sometimes arrogance.) Now's the time to see how bold you can be and push the envelope a little. Your hubris doesn't matter here.

[rynlan is absolutely out here, and unlike his usual fashion sense, he's gone a little bolder. still well covered, but he shows up wearing a dress, with a black underlayer to keep the front window from showing skin. he's accustomed to robes, this is comfy. his hair has been done up, tentacles braided in with his actual hair, and a crown-styled mask sits on his head. if he has fancy shoes, they're not visible, but since his leg is still injured he does have a fancy cane he found to match.

the siamese cat with him is also fancy, just look at her.

ryn definitely spends some time seated or off to the side, just to keep off his leg, but he's not here to let it keep him from partying, thank you. why get dressed up and Not be perceived. you'll find him around, whenever he gets restless.]

Very well — you look nice. The colors of the dress are vivid and exciting, and it has a little demonic flair to it that I find quite appealing.

I'm in the bunk above you for half of our conversations. Having to listen to me is one thing, but looking is another.

but he also looks him up and down briefly and then... gives a soft nod. ]

[he's just saying! lin gets a teasing little smile along with it, clearly pleased at the compliment.]

But so do you, you know. Ought to be illegal to let you wear corsets.

[ lin jingheng looks at him for a moment before taking a long drag and passing it over to ryn and glancing down a bit before blowing a bit of smoke out the window. ]

... Thanks. Thought it'd be a fun surprise. [ he needs the support after
falling out of a tree last week...... but also why not. ] I can dress for a party.

Well, I'm sure Bixing likes it-- but he's definitely not the only one.

[he takes the cigarette in a gloved hand, turning to face the window as he inhales from it slowly, exhales a stream of smoke out the window before passing it back.]

[ a gesture with the cigarette towards him. ]

[ since we have... such an array of drinks. he'll get up and gently turn the cigarette to give it to him. why not. ]

[he's positive it will be fine. also, this elf drinks anything.

he takes the cigarette with a little nod, though, taking another drag from it in the meantime. if he makes sure that's when lin happens to be paying attention, well. (sighs) alpha week]

[ well he's just making his way for the drink table and while lin does watch him for a moment, it's just for a moment before he moves to the table and grabbing two drinks, returning. ]
