Hello, deadlings. Ready to work double-time?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan and Midori. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well. And he looks ready to fall apart.

The second, fresher Fieri is also still here. Why.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your sixth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murders! Characters will have time to examine the bodies of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

It appears Kon was killed by wounds to his back. There were a large number of wounds on his back, apparently stab wounds made with some sort of blade. They are messy and vary in depth. None of them appeared immediately fatal; he likely bled out from the number of injuries he incurred.

[though it's still not clear what caused the injury.]

He also had a rather deep cut on his forearm, which would have bled. On his hand, there was a scuff on the palm. Quite large - starting at the bottom, but spreading towards his fingertips. The fingertips themselves were burned, quite seriously in places - blistering and damaged.

That was all I noted on his body. His clothes were also dirtied on the front and bloodied on the back, though I did not examine those thoroughly.

We will wish to do a weapon check to determine what sort of weapon likely made the fatal wounds. It appears to me that Kon may have fallen to the ground and, in bracing himself, injured his palm and burned his fingertips, so that may give us some indication wear the murder occurred.

The clothes match up to that, I didn't find anything strange about them.

There was, like, melted ice cream and dirt on his shoes. Forest dirt, I guess, instead of beach dirt or lava dirt or whatever. I don't know what flavor. I guess I could find out.

We need to know the flavour, yes. It could be critical to our investigation.

Well. I do not know whether a sword did this or not. It was accomplished by stabbing, so knives are more likely.

At least stab him in the front...

Would that really be preferable? He had only one arm, I think notions of an honourable fight are past us.

Yeah, it makes them sound like even more a coward? Not strong enough to get him from the front when he's already missing one arm?

If you are already planning on murdering someone, it doesn't especially matter to me whether your method was cowardly or not.

If he had a cut on his forearm, then it seems likely that he defended himself against his attacker, and wasn't simply attacked from behind from the beginning.

Possible, but also possible he received that cut at some point while falling.

I suppose that's true, depending on where this all took place. Hopefully we'll figure that out faster than we did last week.

There will likely be a lot of blood in the location he died. Any other place blood is found may indicate this wound.

[She winces at this description. It sounds absolutely awful.]

There has to be a reason for it, right?

I suspect the reason was to kill him, so he would die.

I meant a reason for so many stabs in the first place, obviously it was so he would die.

But no bruising... Is it possible to tell the difference between a burn that happened before and after death?

If he was burned shortly after death, there shouldn't be much difference. However, the location of the burn was such that it appeared whatever burnt him, he only touched with this fingertips. As such, I find it harder to believe he burn occurred after his death.

Did you have a theory?

Not really a theory, just wondering if it was possible someone burned off his fingertips for whatever reason.
