Hello, deadlings. Ready to work double-time?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan and Midori. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well. And he looks ready to fall apart.

The second, fresher Fieri is also still here. Why.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your sixth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murders! Characters will have time to examine the bodies of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

he's being cautious as he steps in, just in case there's anything on the floor, but if the path is clear and nothing on the way is visibly out of place, he would definitely like to check the kigus.]

[Same, to start with, but specifically on the lookout for bloodstains, scuff marks, that sort of thing as we go in!]

[ as they wander into the gift shop, there will be a few things they notice right away in the room. first of all, there appears to be a large pile of kigus thrown around on the floor. second of all, not too far from the entrance there is a slightly visible questionable stain, along with a black and yellow item crumpled up nearby. ]

[cool he dislikes both of these!]

[nodding to the questionable stain and item! he's going to the kigus, and will start going through this pile.]

[Sure, why not, Thancred "questionable stain and beefucker item investigator" Waters is on the case.

Let's get the item out of the way first once he's closer, if he looks at it without touching it is he able to determine what it is by sight?]

[ rynlan can examine the pile! there is. a lot going on here. there are just many kigus all thrown around and bundled up, but as he digs he'll find different ones of various animals. there appear to be a lot of rodent-themed ones though the longer he digs. there are some small-sized kigus of lil guys like a mouse, a bear...a hamster...and there are some larger ones including a rabbit, a squirrel, a deer and some others.

meanwhile, thancred can look at the item on the ground!

he's sorting through them while he digs, seeing if any appear to be used/worn compared to others or otherwise out of place? besides, you know. the bear in the middle of all the non carnivores. is there anything weird about that one?

if these discarded kigus have pockets he's giving them quick pats to be sure (and if any are crumpled/rolled he lays them out.)]

[Well, that's just bee-sgusting. Is it crumpled like there's something inside it, or just in a bloody heap on the ground? If there doesn't appear to be anything inside it, can he two-finger grab it on the clean parts and try to spread it out a little for a better look, or should we just take that back for investigation with the group?

Either way, once that's answered he's moving on to do a preliminary eyeball of the questionable stain next.]

[ let's start with the beegu. it's just a bloody heap on the ground! he can look at it if he wants, but there's nothing beyond the fact that it looks like a bloody kigu.

which is convenient, because the questionable stain actually appears to be some blood that didn't get quite mopped up. hm.

over in the kigu pile, rynlan can search. there doesn't seem to be anything in any pockets, and when he looks at the bear kigu there appears to be a little bit of dirt smeared around the bottom (around the ankles.) there is some dirt around the bottom of the hamster kigu, and also the mouse kigu. besides these ones, the squirrel kigu also has some dirt on the bottom. ]

[hm. thanks, hate that. he's giving the bear, hamster, mouse, and squirrel kigus closer examination-- is the dirt smearing the same on all of them? consistent between kigus? also, anything else on these kigus now that he's paying closer attention and checking both sides?]

[Okay, then if it's cool to spread the thing out, can we at least confirm whether it looks like the kigu soaked up blood while someone was wearing it (blood inside) versus someone bleeding on the outside? No knife marks through the kigu or patterns to the bloodstains?

Looking around the questionable bloodstain then, are there any drips or smears leading to or from it, what kind of shape is it, is there anything stuck in it?]

[ it's hard to determine much about the dirt-kigus in the gift shop. he may have to take them back to the trial to investigate them further. will rynlan look elsewhere around the room?

the beegu is all in one piece and it's blood on the outside. it's kind of spread everywhere and not concentrated in one spot.

the bloodstain looks like a bunch of big drops of blood hit the floor and the remains of those drops being smeared away. there's nothing stuck in the stain itself though, and there may be some stray, faint drops outside of the main stain heading toward/from the door but not really anything indicative. ]

[he will! how is the plushie pile doing, we'll go there. if nothing appears disturbed then what about the books and assorted kitschy lil gifts. he sets the 4 kigus aside for later and pulls out his phone on the way.]

[Just to confirm, do there look like there are wipe marks / like the floor might've been cleaned at all in any direction, or just around the puddle? Unusually clean patches where there's otherwise natural dirt, streak marks, anything like that?]

[ the plushie pile looks fine! nothing appears disturbed around them, nor around the books and the gifts. but as he's wandering, he will notice there appears to be some sort of liquid on the floor near one of the walls.

there's wipe marks on the floor but it's not leading in any real direction. there are no unusually clean patches in this cleaned up stain either. it's about what you would expect from something that was cleaned up without much thought and not entirely cleaned off the ground. ]

he's investigating the mystery floor liquid! which wall is this, relative to the door/beegu blood mess/other kigus? is it like, close-ish to any of these or is it 'nebulously deeper into the shop don't worry about it'.]

[Okay well if Date's providing an Bicker explanation for this random blood incident over here, then he'll leave the evidence where it is with a mental note to pick it up on the way out, and take a look around for anything else unusual or out of place within his direct line of sight.

Assuming there's nothing of note to draw him in a different direction he'll go help Ryn?]

[ it is in fact blood. it's a wall that is not the same wall as the blood beegu, that's pretty much what's important here. it's a small amount of blood, not the same as the beegu puddle.

thancred will not find anything else of note, so he may join ryn. ]

[he takes a photo! how much blood is this-- a little puddle? drips?]

[Righto! Checking the immediate area for things out of place, but if more specificity is needed then indications of things we've already found on investigation - glass, chemicals, powders, dirt, ice cream, etc.]

[ the blood is just a little puddle of drips, concentrated in the center. it isn't a lot like someone bled out there or anything, but it's more than a few droplets, if that makes sense.

there doesn't seem to be anything else that sticks out! you guys are free to bounce when you're ready ♥ ]
