Hello, deadlings. Ready to work double-time?

You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.

Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.

At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan and Midori. With them is also a cut-out of Guy Fieri, dressed as a (sexy?) samurai with a bunch of cool flames cut out of construction paper glued to his back as he walks away from an explosion. He is also holding a sign that says "YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" However, there are now paper tears glued to his face as well. And he looks ready to fall apart.

The second, fresher Fieri is also still here. Why.

Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.

You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!

Hello, and welcome to your sixth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murders! Characters will have time to examine the bodies of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).

[ well. that's odd. i mean also horrific, but how many accidental deaths can there be in hell? people start murdering on purpose - satan, probably ]

So, you blacked out and killed him, but it seemed like your body was moving on its own?

It wasn't really blacking out. I can remember bits and pieces of it, it's not like it's all gone. But yeah, my body was moving on its own. I don't even know how I managed to kill him, he's so much bigger than me. And I know he fought back, I have injuries.

Did it seem like maybe the same thing was happening to him, or he was just trying to defend himself? Although it may be hard for you to tell either way...

[ ... ]

No, from what I remember he was acting like his normal self. He...I can't remember it all, but...he looked more worried and angry than anything else. Why would he be worried about me if he was also being controlled?

Probably not. He must have realized that you weren't yourself, if that's how he reacted...

And then on Friday you admitted it to him [ looks at zel ] and that brought us to here?

No. He didn't know a thing until today. Probably not until about an hour ago, when he and Lu Bixing saw the injuries on me.

[Her voice starts to go up in pitch a bit and her eyes are getting a little misty as she continues.]

I-I asked them to help me hide it for a little while. I was going to confess eventually, I just needed more time for everyone to find the clues so I could figure it out. I was kind of hoping that being found out would make the memories come back, like it did for Lavi, but I guess I'm not that lucky.

[preordain]

[ ah. he looks back at zel. then at tuuri, and he'll lean in to whisper something to her.

when he pulls back, he'll talk out loud. ]

So. What do you think we should do?

[Oh no, that makes her breath catch in her throat. Then she speaks louder, addressing everyone:]

Don't listen to Zel! I always planned on confessing in the end. I just...I needed the time to...

[And then her voice cracks.]

Please, help me put the pieces together before you all vote for me. I- I can't-

[Oh, the tears are starting to fall down her face now.]

How am I supposed to apologize to Kon if I can't even remember what I did?!

[ okay ryo is just going to step aside now after making a girl cry.

Okay, Tuuri. Okay, we can do that. [ soothingly, immediately and then, to everyone else: ] Let's try and put together a timeline. We have a lot of information - let's sort through it and get this done.

[ looks at the clock and sweats ]

[ after thinking through this timeline and going over the evidence some more, at which point it is unfortunately VERY LATE... ]

Ah— Come to think of it, we never went back to the... cryptid rodent photograph, did we? If she'd been the one to wear that, wouldn't it have been damaged by the chemicals?

You'd think, yes, but- I checked over all of them, the inside of the costume included. It was just dirt.

That...that's right! I wore my own clothes. They're at the bottom of my closet!

... But they were behind the glass, right? Was there someone watching the whole thing go down?

[ this is all really fcking hard, but if there's something she's learned in their weeks here...it's that the compassion and empathy is high, even if most would say otherwise. that much is clear here, today. ]

Tuuri...[ puts a hand on her back ] I know he will forgive you. This place, it forces us to make choices we would usually think twice about.

[ not her getting teary eyed too ] It's going to be okay.

Hey, uh-- I don't know what's gonna happen, and I'm not giving up on fixing it right now but it'll be okay, right? Everyone is always yellin' through the phone at us so all the beef has gotta be squashed. Kon is cool. He's not mad. If he's mad at you, he's mad at the wrong dude, because obviously you just got jerked around when you didn't mean to do anything.

Does anyone remember—was there something specific we did to jog Lavi and Uriel's memories?
