WEEK SIX - MINGLE

Rise and shine, little deadlings. Man. Someone out there really pulled the wool over your eyes, huh? Well, never fear. Satan's grace has shined upon you and you have more opportunities to show just why you deserve an invite to the house party.

For those of you who slept in the dorm last night, when you make your way downstairs to head off for the day you'll be greeted with a new message on the white board in the common room.

One Week and Four Days Until Satan's House Party!!

But out the door you go for another busy week. At the dock, there's a ferry happily floating on the lava and waiting for you to climb aboard. While there are still several islands in your line of vision you can't quite see, it seems as though the ferry can now shuttle you between all of the previous islands and a new location called Frosty Peaks. Better bundle up. Though should you find yourselves returning to more familiar bars, you may find a new menu item awaits them!

The bright side of starting a new week is that your confidence levels even out back to normal. (Well, actually, maybe that's not so great for some of you. Damn. Sorry.) Your insecurities are still manageable and you have once again regained a healthy sense of hubris rather than completely losing your minds. Your memories are still private, and you haven't lost anything either either. Maybe you've caught a break this week...?

Haha, psych. But it was fun to think about while it lasted, huh? For some of you, it may be hard to notice at first, especially if you're already a hands-on sort of person. But over the course of the week, you will find that you'll struggle with the urge to touch the people around you. A desire to hold hands, hug, or even cuddle may strike at the most overwhelming and inappropriate times, and you'll just have to deal with that. Sometimes the touch between two of you is more subtle. For some of you, it might be a little too intense. There's no saying when and how it may hit you and who may be around when it does.

It almost seems as though it's simply meant to be an annoyance...to everyone else.

Good morning everybody, and welcome to your week six mingle! A few notes for clarity.

-This week's effect is touch week, or what we lovingly call "cuddle week." What a nice thing to happen when the new location is cold as balls. Characters will find themselves struck with the urge to touch each other ranging from casual touches to full-on signs of affection. It's not on a sliding scale based on CR, so use this as an opportunity to play around and see what happens when your characters are combined.

[ well, hey, at least we’re all dressed decently, right....

soaking wet and helped along and down the ferry by d.va is the final figure - none other than lu bixing, and boy, let me tell you, it is cold out here. his head’s down, and he’s holding something tightly in his free hand.

bixing’s moving very, very slowly - his right shoulder is hanging a little oddly, and he’s struggling to put any weight on his left foot, though he is valiantly trying to keep up with the group. there’s blood visible on the inside of his left arm, and his visible and bare legs are covered in bruises and cuts. he says something to d.va, quiet and soft, a ] It’s…okay, we’re okay - [ and then a cold wind blows, and he - ]

Ah - ah - ah-choo!

[ sneezes, hard. there’s a horribly crackly noise as he does so, and lu bixing makes an awful, miserably pained face - and then swoons

and starts to pass out, falling face forward and showing off the absolutely nightmarish collection of bruises and not quite in the right place bones at the saucy little openings in the back of his hospital gown.

well, hm. ]

[ sighs. for once in his life mephisto will actually be useful and WILL get some blankets, then throw them at everyone unceremoniously. (except d.va, he can hand her one.) ]

Fun trip, I take it.

[ distant ambulance noises are howling from tiny yoru in lin jingheng's arms as he sees this bullshit group disembarking the ferry. ]

You heard Song! Blankets and some medkits now!

[ and i'm sorry but he's making lu bixing his first stop, he has priorities and he loves the rest of you but this is his husband so he's starting here (and so i don't hog all the hurt comfort). anyways, he's pushing off his coat and shoving it around lu bixing to cover up that saucy little hospital gown while sitting yoru down so he can get his arms around him to assess the damage here. ]

[tosses him a medkit, here. she'll be over in a second.]

[refate]

[ distressed WEEWOO WEEWOO WEEWOO from the snow now ]

[ hey, you know who never gets hurt, really? lu bixing. you know who probably doesn't handle pain all that well? lu bixing! he's like knocked the fuck out at first, but... lin jingheng moving him gets his face to crumple a little, wincing, and bixing's remaining eye flutters open. the syllables come out on a wheeze - up that close, lin jingheng can probably hear the sound of something crackly in his breathing. ]

Lin...?

[ and he just looks


so relieved, for a second. ]

[ not that it really matters but date goes very fucking still when jingheng starts shouting.



and then he slowly clenches and unclenches his hand at his side and doesn't move. ]

[ falls to her knees beside him and takes her gamer grrl sweater off, placing it on him. ]

anyway. he's fine. this is fine! he's fine. thankfully, the action and lin jingheng running the fuck over help, and he squints up at dva briefly and even after everything gives her a soft, tired smile. ]
