Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

[He takes his second turn at trying to flip the cup and misses; when it rolls back around to his third turn, the POWERTHIRST ENERGY LEGS have apparently died down enough for him to make his flip — though given the way it wobbles, it's likely more to do with luck than it is to do with skill.

Of course, the next cup down he drinks turns out to be Doing Just Fine, which means all of a sudden he's. He's really glad to be here playing a drinking game with a teenage girl I guess! NEW DAUGHTER TIME.]

alex takes a moment to appreciate being serenaded. lovely! and for her second row she gets 18+8, 4+8, 3+8! alex keeps up with persephone's second row... except i refuse to let the clumsy drink not impact this so she then immediately knocks down two of her own cups. ]

[ okay, well. mephisto grabs a celebratory random shot on his way back to the audience from his SWEET WIN, which happens to be... muistojakaa.

after both saving and ruining kuranosuke's life in one fell swoop and throwing back his shot, he soon finds himself staring wistfully off into the middle distance and ignoring all the failures happening in front of him.

after a full minute of this, he finally speaks up, addressing whoever may be within hearing range. ]

Hey... Did any of you ever see Magisches Mädchen Magical Motoko? It was a revolutionary deconstruction of the magical girl genre that juxtaposed moe style with dark themes that caught its viewers off guard with a surprise death in the third episode and just spiraled into despair from there.

[ he takes out his handkerchief and clutches it in his hand in case any tears start coming... ]

I can never forget how it felt the first time I watched episode 10, which revealed the tragic backstory of the dark and brooding magical girl who up until then had seemed to border on being an antagonist. It turned out that she'd secretly been going through an endless series of timelines trying to save her beloved protagonist from the horrible fate that always seemed to await her, and had been forced to harden her heart to withstand it...

[ sighs. ]

Other shows have tried to do similar things since then, but nothing will ever hit as hard as the original.
