Ooh...too soon? Hm. Lighten up a little, gosh! Satan's grace has shined upon you and you have more opportunities to show just why you deserve an invite to the house party.

For those of you who slept in the dorm last night, when you make your way downstairs to head off for the day you'll be greeted with a new message on the white board in the common room.

But out the door you go for another busy week. At the dock, there's a ferry happily floating on the lava and waiting for you to climb aboard. While there are still several islands in your line of vision you can't quite see, it seems as though the ferry can now shuttle you between the college island, Hallow's Hollow, and a new location called Subnutica. Yeah. You heard us.

The nice thing is that your emotions seem to be in tact again. You feel a little recalibrated. You find that you're no longer struggling to understand why you're feeling the way you feel, but something still feels...off. It's hard to pinpoint what exactly it is, but it's as though a part of you is missing. Maybe eventually you'll discover that your sense of direction has disappeared. Or you've lost your ability to empathize with others (if you even had that to begin with). And even moreso, some of you may discover you've lost even more important things, such as your eyesight or your sense of touch. Various losses will persist throughout the whole week, but on occasion you may find you've regained what you initially lost and have lost something else instead.

It almost seems as though it's simply meant to be an annoyance.

-This week's effect is loss! This one is a little more open-ended for you guys to play with! This can be anything from loss of senses, loss of certain emotions, loss of skills, loss of memories, loss of your mind, etc. If you're not sure, please feel free to ask! [Hey, so remember how Thancred up and left the execution last weekend and then abruptly disappeared because he'd apparently fucked off to parts unknown to be a broody asshole for like an entire day, probably? Ha-hah! Looks like he's gotten over it, because you're apt to find him wandering around in one of the following places:

• The Convenience Stores, where he's stocking up on nonperishable items because man cannot stockpile rations via Twinkies forever;

• Swimming at the Indoor Beach, where you might notice he's staying underwater for...an uncomfortably long time. Like whole minutes at a stretch. Like very nearly nine and a half minutes at a time, in fact!

• The Music Store, eyeing the instruments like he's suddenly just remembered that bards are supposed to be able to play music. Can he play music? Maybe the thing he forgot this week is "forgot that he forgot that he's supposed to be a bard".

Regardless of where you find him, there is one thing that sort of stands out. He seems to be constantly muttering something under his breath, and if you listen a little more closely, you might even discover it's...]

There once was a warlord named Xande,
Whose empire made nodes that were handy;
But in topics of class
He was rather an ass
With real shite taste in head mage arm candy...

It's a very descriptive poem, after all. It sounds like he was a teacher, but not the best at teaching?

He led a warmongering empire infamous for the enslavement of millions and ultimately sought to plunge the star into a hell of unending darkness. Or so I'm told.

[Oh. There's a ring here, he thinks, when he resurfaces like five minutes later, totally fine but still willing to hoist himself over the edge of the thing and let it float him rather than trying to tread water.]

[Zelgadis has been contemplating the remaining floatable items on the beach, but then he looks over when he hears that voice.]

[With one arm still hooked over the tube, he brings up the other to slick back his dripping, soaked-through hair away from his eyes so it's not plastered to his face.]

A bit of both, really. I can't claim rights to that one in particular — 'twas a personal favorite of a dear friend of mine — but it came up in a competition between the two of us, so I had plenty of my own at the ready in exchange.
