Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

[help i had to screenshot my four opening drinks because they were so lucky. newbie's shot is first and when she tastes it she will flash a smile at kon and lavi in the peanut gallery. then next is nectar. depression cleared. crops watered. the next shot turns her into a human. finally, she does one last shot and as she makes her base pyramid, gives alex a confident bark. being satan is extremely attractive, after all.]

...Ah, that one. Yes, he's a loathsome man, isn't he?

[unfortunately, she rolls a [1d20 + 7] Roll: [10] Result: 17 failure as she starts on the second row. the shot she takes is bazooka bubblegum, and as she turns into a cartoon kitty cat, she fumbles the first shotglass.]

anyway she would have failed with a 27 but it was a nat 20 so she succeeds! she does a shot and then, with her little animal crossing face, she gives alex a wistful smile.]

My father used to tell me stories sometimes. Most of the time he was...busy, it was difficult to get his attention. But every so often, he'd sit with me as I did my evening prayers, and would tell me tales from the history of our House and family. It was nice, to spend time with him, even only for a moment, and for him to see me as his daughter.

[she blinks away the sad thought, and then absolutely masterfully puts her second level together with kitty paws before blinking back to human shape.]

... I don't think we have a lot in common, but I kind of get it. Things were always kind of rough with my dad, too. But we had a few good memories.

...Interesting. Do you know anything about mythology, incidentally, Alex? As it turns out, I've had a trump card this entire time. You see, the Book of the Cosmos ranks all deities by their ability to win drinking contests, and there is one champion who is unbeatable. You made a mistake, letting us tag in our friends from the other side, as one of them is the one being who can never lose against you.
