Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

So, when we ask for it, we just sound really in the dumps about it?

Depends on the logistics, I think? Like... is our asking gonna be broadcast live to all the demons who live in hell? Or just the announcement of it?

Because if it's just the announcement, Mephisto can just be like, "Praise me! You all owe your lives to me! Go on, ask nicely and I'll give you what you want since I hold your fates in my hand! But you have to thank me first!" and we can all act real butthurt about it.

You know, play it up for the cameras.

Yeah, it's like... we'd get what we want, but is the emotional toll worth it?

Look, Mephisto is a winner and all same as us and he's chill and everything, but. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

Uuuuuuuuuh indeed.

Whatever happens will become public knowledge. And what Harrowhark and I proposed to Malibu and Blue is that by making it sound like we're being punished by the results, Satan will look good and gain a better public opinion. You know, make it easier for her to pass policies.

If the demons like what happens here tomorrow enough, then the next group who comes after us might get the same opportunities.

So the winners have to make it look like we're really making the losers suffer...

Exactly. So it's important that we make it look cruel, even though it's not.

Harrowhark also proposed that you force us to keep our scrolls with us to post updates of our suffering every week. That way we can stay in touch with each other without making it look like a boon.

Yeah, I like that. Constant updates of suffering! Or... "bragging" for the people who made it out, so the people left behind just have to seethe with jealousy?

And for the people who do make it out, we just make it so we're just, like, constantly haunted by the Bicker app. We get a new phone back in our world? Bicker. It's there. An uninstallable virus! A constant reminder of that time we died for two months and couldn't do anything about it.

Exactly. That's a good clause to make sure we can't lose the app if we break our scrolls or whatever.

I'll act real annoyed about not being able to uninstall this app to really sell it, but I better see you in my Bicker DMs a lot once you get back home, dude!
