Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

Basically, what I'm thinking is that the universes that we live in are all happening at the same time - even if time has passed completely differently in our worlds, and "time" is really more of a loose definition of the word than it is the actual word itself. Swain called it a patchwork quilt, but I like to think of it more like a tapestry, a sort of Level IV Quantum Multiverse of string that's been wound into different patterns. I don't like the idea of a quilt, because I think all the threads of these universes are connected much more intimately than patches of different fabric, and that's how we end up drawn here, but that's besides the point. A tapestry works a little better with string theory, Anyway.

Each of these universes are stacked sort of on top of each other, because they're all occurring in the same limited, relative moment, and made of roughly the same string. So, by climbing up the particle string through technology that utilizes particle physics like our transfer portals, instead of transferring across space [ he makes a little gesture with his hands across ], you could transfer across universal "time" [ and makes a vertical gesture with both hands ] instead.

I'd love to see you all again! But also it's possible where I came from isn't...completely ready for all of a sudden anyone who isn't a grumpus to visit very openly, so...if you can make it discreet that'd be fantastic.

Well, I'll do my best. It might be a little clunkier at first, but I hate to put out an unfinished product. So, maybe with everyone's teamwork, we can utilize something more sleek.

anyway he nods ] I agree. I might be able to make a warning system using some of the tech Zhanlu has, sort of like a tag. Maybe even block off certain types of travel without clearance from the person from that universe. Though... in cases with more than one person, I'd have to adjust admin permission so you don't end up in limbo, but I think that's doable.

... we'd have to see if we could adjust my location, because otherwise someone would be thrown into a virtual reality world that was mid- ceasing to exist and collapsing in on itself. Otherwise it'd have to be completely blocked off.

Well, mine was starting to get overrun with demons — sorry, antisocial organisms — and we were in the middle of trying to deal with that. But I don't think it's at the top of anyone's destination wishlist anyway.
