Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

You aren't gonna get far if you just keep trying to get revenge on people for doing what they had to in a bad situation, man. If they wanna do better and go home, they should get to do that. Punishing 'em by making them stay in hell isn't gonna help anyone.

I don't believe I ever voiced my personal position either way. I'm certainly not bringing this up out of notions of revenge.

This is meant to be a discussion, isn't it?

What exactly did they do you didn't like? Taking a job to try a way that gave other people the chance they didn't have themselves?

Yeah. If you asked them, they'd have told you. They didn't make us kill anyway. We all did that on our own.

If you don't send them back, then you'd be condemning a few of us to staying here too. The ones who could have used their worlds as a place to potentially go.

And as I didn't ask them, 'tis valuable to have those who did confirming it now. I'm not certain why everyone is jumping to the conclusion that I'm against the idea simply for asking after the basis for your convictions.

Well, for one thing, much of this plan that gave us the chance to save anyone besides ourselves was devised through their assistance.

Helpful when matters suddenly stood the chance of benefiting them personally, then?

Have you ever spoken with them? Do you even understand what their role in any of this has been? Or are you planning to doom them to hell based on your own assumptions?

I've not spoken with them at all, actually. Which is all the more reason why I put forth my question.

Their return is a position I do not intend to depart from for any reason; it is as simple as that. So I do not see much point in arguing it.

This is a discussion, Harrowhark. Don't take me for a villain simply for asking to hear rationale in support of such certainties.

I think it's fair to say perhaps some of us don't deserve a second chance at life and that our sins weigh heavy enough for our souls to be tortured for all eternity, but likewise some of us may have landed here for simply being born.

So... Why not include them? They were working within a broken system and they could have been sent here without proper judgment.

There's also that, for many of us, they are our friends. Is that not enough?

Momentous decisions oughtn't be made without some semblance of debate. Certainly not ones as significant as this.

Right. We should give this paramount attention and consideration, which to me it looks like we are.

It's nice that we can all communicate, freely. Would that some apply that to their emotions.
