Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!

Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.

But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.

Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:

Not for long. I've already started working on a schematic for intrauniversal travel based on our phones. I'll need to get back to my lab, so it may be a little while, but I can translate wormhole tech over, I think. I've got some theories already laid down.

[ she looks sad at all of this discussion, because parting ways with the people you've trauma bonded with over the past two months blows. still...she smiles. ]

You guys can take Tokki with you, the energy reactor could be of some use, with designing something to help us travel between worlds. And I can always put a new one together back home.

Travel between realms is possible where I come from, but there's a lot more magic involved than whatever you've got. If you need a sounding board, though...

I'm willing to look at that aspect of it. You mentioned blood being the catalyst, and there's something there I'm familiar with, too.

There's at least a strong enough likelihood that between us, we'll be able to solve this issue that I'm comfortable taking some risks.

Basically, what I'm thinking is that the universes that we live in are all happening at the same time - even if time has passed completely differently in our worlds, and "time" is really more of a loose definition of the word than it is the actual word itself. Swain called it a patchwork quilt, but I like to think of it more like a tapestry, a sort of Level IV Quantum Multiverse of string that's been wound into different patterns. I don't like the idea of a quilt, because I think all the threads of these universes are connected much more intimately than patches of different fabric, and that's how we end up drawn here, but that's besides the point. A tapestry works a little better with string theory, Anyway.

[ this was a mistake for hunter but also for me as i'm trying to explain at 10 pm. no one criticize me on my scifi. bixing's excited about it and it's correct. sweats. ] - Anyway. Each of these universes are stacked sort of on top of each other, because they're all occurring in the same limited, relative moment, and made of roughly the same string. So, by climbing up the particle string through technology that utilizes particle physics like our transfer portals, instead of transferring across space [ he makes a little gesture with his hands across ], you could transfer across universal "time" [ and makes a vertical gesture with both hands ] instead.

More or less.

Oh, thank you for that! It should make things a lot easier without having to patchwork translations around based on who knows what language.

Sure, that part'd be easy. Auto-translate's standard tech at home.

Okay. If it's possible, we can try to worm in being able to travel between worlds or universes or whatever. But priority is where people want to go.

We've already been told Satan can't do that. If we want it, we'll have to find a way to do it ourselves.

Well. [ rubbing his thumb against his chin after telling bixing he'll help him ] We got dragged here in the first place. If we can't get it from Satan, or something higher up, then I'll help get it figured out.

Satan doesn't have the power to allow us to travel freely between realms. So if we want to make that happen, we'll have to figure it out ourselves...
