WEEK TWO - TRIAL

Hello, deadlings. Wow. Just...wow.
You may have been wondering what you could possibly do in the aftermath of yesterday's beek. Your demons weren't entirely helpful, and it seems that there were no answers to be found. But on Saturday morning at 11am, you'll soon hear a sound coming from the dock. There's a large ferry waiting for you, and even if you resist you'll eventually find yourself compelled to climb aboard and set off on a short voyage. The islands around you look fairly blurry, but you don't go very far before you stop at a slab of land with two large buildings stationed. The Execution Bar is locked tight and you won't be able to head in that direction. Instead, once again, your feet navigate you to the building on the right as the door creaks open.
Inside is a bar. It's dimly lit in several places, but bright enough for you to see each other and navigate without running into the furniture. Tables and chairs are scattered around in front of the bar counter, and the floor is far less sticky than the bar on the other island. Stained glass windows decorate the walls depicting images of humanity's suffering, and concrete crosses and tombstones are gathered in the corners. The bar itself is fully stocked with all types of alcohol and mixers, along with an array of bar food to help keep your energy up.
At the head of the room lounging among the statues of saints and the Blessed Virgin are Blue Hawaiian, Cosmopolitan and Midori.
Above them hangs another hand-painted banner, sloppily thrown together.
12pm - 9pm
Vote or suffer eternal damnation
You can try to leave, but the door to the bar has been locked. All of the windows are reinforced, and there isn't another way out. You've been called here for one reason...let the misery begin!
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about this week's murder! Characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, we have a voting page for characters to vote on the culprit! Please be sure to read this page carefully and that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST).
Good luck, and have fun!

INVESTIGATIONS
AQUARIUM
there's the faint sound of dripping water from somewhere deep within the area. ]
Well...go ahead.
no subject
[this is said to cosmo but it is so rude. anyway hello. she won't walk in right away she'll start by looking in from the doorway to get a sense of what's up in the room, and also to notice if there's anything heading out from the door - broken glass? water? footprints? an entire arm?]
no subject
What, not a fan of its impressions?
[ anyway, he'll slip by and start to follow the dripping sound to at least get an idea of which direction it's coming from, unless there's something he'd step in on the way, in which case he will politely Not. ]
no subject
but he'll go to look at the tanks as he walks. everything good in there? the fish vibing? nothing floating ominously? ]
no subject
ryo will also follow, it seems. but, quite suddenly, he takes one step and soon finds himself slipping on a large puddle of water and losing his footing. ahead of the three of them, more water seems to be spreading slowing toward them from the direction of a tank somewhere beyond their vision. ]
no subject
she will take this as a cue to be very cautious in where she steps, then. but she will head in the direction the water is coming from, bracing herself with a hand on the tanks as she goes. if she passes ryo and heads in that direction, can she see any broken tanks?]
no subject
Really should have put a "slippery when wet" sign out here.
[ also going to be walking extra carefully now, thank you for your service, ryo.
he continues in the direction of the water sound, and if it gets too dark, he'll take his phone out of his pocket and shine the flashlight ahead of them to make sure they aren't missing anything. ]
no subject
he blinks in confusion?? before getting back to his feet. okay. ryo wanders after them...
is there any sign of any displaced sea animals because a broken tank that is filled with fish does not sound great. ]

SUBNUTICA BAR
on the way from the ferry to the bar, through the tunnel, they might notice some droplets of blood going between the aquarium and the bar, as reported in the other thread. they'll also notice something that seems oddly like wet drag marks...
the bar itself once they get there seems normal at first glance. where do you want to look? ]
no subject
First, how's this room look at a glance? Any furniture overturned, aquariums broken, things that we really should notice right away?
He's looking at the floor. How wide are these drag marks, and are they water-wet, or bloody? Both, neither?]
no subject
carefully, to avoid stepping on anything as Zel checks out the floor, Uriel will make her way to the bar counter and inspect the area there. anything around, on, or near it? ]
no subject
persephone is scanning the room at large at first, trying to see if there are any obvious differences from the night she spent in here for curfew. besides that, she looks up at the tentacles hanging from the ceiling. how are they doing today? are any of them holding a knife? ]
no subject
the drag marks are water-wet! the puddles seem bigger closer to where they start near the aquarium and smaller closer to the bar. but still water. the shape also seems a bit odder the more they get into the bar...? the blood drops don't seem to follow the drag marks, but some of it seems to have gotten into some of the puddles.
uriel will find that there are two glasses on the counter! nothing else seems out of place.
persephone finds nothing on the ceiling. unlike when they were doing curfew, however, there's a glass standing on the ground near the bar? huh. ]
no subject
do the drag marks appear to lead to any particular starting/stopping point? how about the blood drops?]
no subject
well, Uriel will inspect the two glasses on the counter. are they empty? or is there still some liquid in them? if there is, what color are both drinks? otherwise, she will give both the glasses a sniff. ]
no subject
anyway uh persephone goes to check out the other mystery glass. why are you here now......... she will also sniff. ]

ONSEN
they enter the waiting room first. whatcha looking at? ]
no subject
Do what you need to do here and I won't fuss at you about it, but if you hurt yourself worse in the process we're going to talk about it later.
[there will be words. he moves on to looking around, though, looking over the waiting room for anything clearly out of place-- he was just here last night, so is anything disturbed, is anything on the floor, so on? he'll be looking at the floor before stepping anywhere just in case.]
no subject
I'll be careful, promise. Been sitting on my ass all day, so I've got more than enough energy for this.
[Lavi will do a quick ceiling check, and also look around to see if there's like... any more blood or water on the floor leading to any of the other rooms,]
no subject
there isn't anything on the ceiling, and no blood in here. ]
no subject
[heading over to check the furniture and tv, once again careful not to step anything. is it every piece of furniture in here that's broken, or just most? does it look like things were thrown around or like things were broken roughly where they stood before?]
no subject
[THAT'S A MESS, Lavi will walk into the (looks at location) rec room and look inside to see if there's any more damage or anything else that would stand out,]
no subject
it looks like things were broken where they stood.
lavi wanders off and into the rec room. there is no damage in here. everything looks perfectly tidy! ]
no subject
if all of these answers are no he's moving on to checking the vacant rooms, they can split these if lavi wants to help with that.]
