WEEK SEVEN: ENDGAME 2

Rise and shine, little deadlings. It's the dawn of the final day. The oppressive heat of Hell seems to rise and fall around you, and no matter where you slept last night you'll find that all of the islands across this realm are buzzing with excitement. You all know what comes next. Take some time, gather yourselves, and maybe even have some breakfast. Pick out your best party outfits and brush up on your etiquette. At about eleven in the morning, all participants single-dead and double-dead will find themselves on the receiving end of a new DM.

party starts in an hour!! if you're not in line now, you're gonna miss the start!!
Better start making your way to those wrought-iron gates at the edge of the city. You can see it now, the giant mansion situated at the top of the volcano, but it's still a distance away. The line seems to crawl, slowly, and as you draw closer you'll see several demons and humans being let through and just as many being turned away. But you? Lucky you...as you approach, a flickering shadow three times your size looks you over before letting you through the gate. There's a bridge strung over a pool of lava, wobbling with your every step as your skin practically boils you alive.
But then...as you approach the front doors? The Mansion Welcomes You.
Come on in! You were invited, after all. The party's just getting started but there isn't a shortage of humans and demons already milling around the property as music blasts from all directions. Immediately as you enter, you'll see a large sign hanging in the foyer advertising today's drink-off. There's also a list of names under it:
Arataki Itto
Gideon Nav
Hana Song
Harrowhark Nonagesimus
Hunter (Blonde)
Kaname Date
Kuranosuke Koibuchi
Lin Jingheng
Lu Bixing
Persephone
Rynlan Dawnslight
Ryo Asuka
Thancred Waters
Zelgadis
The drink-off itself isn't for another couple of hours though. So why not relax and enjoy the party? Mingle around, explore the house, make your way to the bar to grab a drink...and prepare to play for your life.
Hi and happy endgame everybody! We're so excited to see you here! Today's endgame activities are going to be a little fast and loose, so please be sure to check out the various top levels for what's available to you!
While we have specific toplevels for various events, players are free to use this as a normal party mingle! You can toplevel with prompts in the house, making plans for challenging Satan, catching up, etc.
WE WILL START THE DRINK-OFF IN A FEW HOURS. All drink-off threads will be wrapped and finalized by 9pm EST/6pm PST (normal trial hours.)
Thank you, and have fun!

Obviously the most important thing is "everybody who wants to go home gets to go home." That was the priority when we were talking about it, right?

If we can't get intrauniversal travel as part of the reward package, I'll come back with you to the Eighth Galaxy right off to help, Teach.

Okay. If it's possible, we can try to worm in being able to travel between worlds or universes or whatever. But priority is where people want to go.

[but like bixing, she believes it's at least possible.]

Satan doesn't have the power to allow us to travel freely between realms. So if we want to make that happen, we'll have to figure it out ourselves...

[ he holds up two fingers. ]
Two things. Three, if you count letting those who didn't die leave and those who did die leave as two separate things.
[ ... ]
There's also the fact some of us won with help, so we probably need to figure that out too.

[Just wondering.]

It's blatant bias on my part, but if they want to go I'm happy to include that on my list of things to ask for.

Are you serious? Because we could have ended up in their positions just as easily. Because they have families and homes to get back to, just as much as we do, but they were never even given the chance to compete in the first place.

We won on "behalf of" the not double-dead, so I'm not entirely sure what that qualifies us as. Are we all winners? Or should we make sure it's the "living" winners, unaided, that present the victory request?
Does us deciding we're winners make all of us winners? Or are we overthinking.

...While we're deciding this, if there's anyone who has no desire to stay here or return home, and all works out, I can offer somewhere for you to stay, complete with citizenship. The Eighth Galaxy has a fairly standardized system for taking in refugees. It's safe, stable, independent, and - not to brag or anything, but it's pretty cool. There's a wide variety of opportunities and places to go or live, too. You'd have the chance to start over there, if that was what you wanted.
[ a pause. ] And that doesn't mean you'd have to stay anywhere near me and mine if you didn't want to, either! It's just an open invitation.
